Job Title: Estimator – Commercial Doors

Robert I. Merrill Co. is seeking a qualified Estimator for Commercial Doors to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of all outgoing bids. This role is crucial for maintaining the company's competitive edge and ensuring that all bid submissions meet the highest standards of quality.
 
Responsibilities:
- Double-check bid documents for discrepancies or errors
- Confirm that all bid calculations, quantities, and unit prices are correct
- Communicate with vendors and subcontractors as needed to verify pricing and other bid-related details
- Maintain organized records of all bid submissions and related documents
- Prepare and compile final bid packages for submission to clients
- Review and verify all outgoing bids for accuracy in cost estimates, scope of work, and other bid components
 
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the bidding process
- Ability to read and understand a set of plans
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Excellent understanding of estimation processes and bid preparation
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office applications
 
Position Details:
- Full-Time: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday
