Robert I. Merrill Co. is a leader in providing top-quality commercial doors. As we expand our Wood Door Division, we're seeking a dedicated and skilled Wood Door Shop Foreman to join our team and help drive our success.
 
Position Overview:
The Wood Door Shop Foreman will oversee all aspects of wood door production, from machining and pre-finishing to pre-installation of door hardware. We are looking for someone with strong leadership abilities and technical skills to maintain high standards and ensure efficient operations.
 
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the entire wood door production process, ensuring quality and efficiency
- Oversee door machining, pre-finishing, and hardware installation preparation
- Read and interpret work orders to guide production tasks
- Regularly lift and move items weighing up to 50+ pounds
- Take responsibility for tools and equipment
- Operate current machinery and learn to manage new innovative machines
 
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role or related field is preferred
- Ability to read and understand work orders and technical documents
- Physical capability to lift heavy objects and work in a hands-on environment
- Strong accountability and care for tools and equipment
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new machinery and techniques
- Strong leadership skills
