Position Overview

 We are seeking a Sales Counter Manager to lead our front-line counter team. This group is the face of the company, supporting walk-in customers, answering calls, managing orders, and building lasting customer relationships. The Sales Counter Manager will be a confident leader with strong Division 8 knowledge who can mentor and grow the team, improve processes, and ensure accuracy and consistency in all customer interactions.

This position is on-site in Millcreek, Utah, Monday through Friday. It’s an excellent fit for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and wants to make a direct impact on both employees and customers.


Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the sales counter team, setting clear expectations and mentoring each team member.

• Provide training and coaching in Division 8 product knowledge (doors, frames, hardware) to build confidence and expertise across the team.

• Ensure accuracy in quotes and orders, establish best practices and procedures to minimize errors and rework.

• Support a positive customer experience by fostering strong relationships and quick, reliable responses.

• Collaborate across the board with other managers, shop, and warehouse operations to ensure smooth workflow and handoffs.

• Provide technical expertise on Division 8 products, including fire ratings, ADA and life-safety requirements, hardware and frame compatibility, and special conditions that require precise product knowledge.

• Promote accountability and teamwork, recognizing top performance and addressing gaps constructively.


Qualifications

• Strong Division 8 product knowledge (commercial doors, frames, and hardware), 5+ years required.

• Leadership and mentoring experience, with the ability to grow a team and raise standards.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills with a positive, professional approach.

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to enforce process consistency.

• Prior inside sales or account management experience preferred.

• Comsense/Enterprise experience a plus.

• Experience with Division 10 specialties (toilet partitions, accessories, lockers, etc.) is a plus but not required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and strong computer skills, ability to confidently navigate business software.
